Michelle Westholm (1975, Des Moines) is the daughter of an Evangelical preacher and a Mennonite baker. She grew up in small towns across the American Midwest. With academic training in anthropology, religion, and ethics, Michelle teaches film and philosophy in international schools. She has worked in the US, Mexico, Indonesia, Argentina, and now resides in Japan. Michelle's work tends to center on themes of religion, urban aesthetics, and ritualized performances of masculinity.
